Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28, 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American actor, singer and voice-actor. Ariel Winter made her debut as an actress when she was just a few years old and was featured in the Cool Whip advertisement when she was only six years old. In an episode of CBS's Listen Up!, Ariel landed her debut television role at just 7 years old. Her subsequent roles included Monk Bones, ER and various other television shows. Gretchen appeared on in the Disney Original Channel animated show Phineas and Ferb in 2007. Her breakthrough live-action appearance in the role of Alex Dunphy in the hit TV series Modern Family two years later. Alongside the other cast members in Modern Family she received the Screen Actors Guild Award in four different years for the Best ensemble Comedy Series.
