Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed in the rock world. Although the band was not success on the scene in the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a solo performer after the band split up in 1979. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' both became major hit songs. The success of her was brief and after a couple of years after, she went under the radar. Her release of Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend award.
