Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford, as she's more commonly known as was an American born British guitarist and singer who was the leader of the only female hard rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. Although the band did not achieve much success in America however they became extremely popular internationally. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career following the band's was disbanded in 1979. Following vocal training, she launched her debut solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford failed to make much with either album and remained out of the realm of rock for around 10 years. In 1988, she returned to the world of music with a smashing album called "Lita. The single "Kiss Me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were big hits. Sadly, her fame was brief and she disappeared from the world of music for a number of decades. Then she returned after the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland nearly 15 years after. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
