Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. Though the group didn't achieve much success in America, they were hugely popular in other countries. That was the case especially in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a solo heavy metal performer after the band split up in 1979. She began to take voice lessons followed by her first album "Out For Blood" and then "Dancin" at the Edge. The two albums didn't get much attention and Ford disappeared from the world of rock for a few years. The smash hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her biggest hit songs. Unfortunately her popularity was only temporary, and she was gone for a few years. Her return came after the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland nearly 15 years after. The year was 2016, and her latest album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
