Lita Rossana Ford is born in Britain and was an American musician, singer, and writer. The latter half of the 1970s she played as the lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention within the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career after the band ended in 1979.
