Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford as she is more commonly known, was an American-born British guitarist and singer who was the leader of the only female hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. While the group was not popular in The United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford's solo career in heavy metal had a great success following the group break-up. After receiving voice lessons, she released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin in the Edge". Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them and disappeared from the world of rock for around an entire decade. The singer returned with her smashing hit album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her fame was temporary, and she was gone for a couple of years. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
