Lita Rossana Ford, also called Lita Ford is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who was born in the UK. She was the lead guitarist for The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of girls from the 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and rebellious lyrics got them noticed by the rock community. The group failed to make a significant impact within The United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford's solo metal career proved successful following the group break-up. After receiving voice classes, Ford launched her debut self-titled album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin in the Edge". Both albums failed to get much attention and Ford was largely absent from the world of rock for several years. Her smashing hit, 'Lita came out in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. The popularity of her was temporary, and she was gone for a few years. The album's release Black in 1995 was followed by 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. in 2016, the latest album, 'Timecapsule', was released. The singer was honored with The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
