Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who was born in Britain. She played lead guitar for The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of females in the late 1970s. Their punkish music and provocative lyrics helped them get recognized by the rock world. The group was not able to achieve major success within the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career after the band was disbanded in 1979. After taking vocal lessons she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Ford disappeared from rock for a few years following her albums didn't gain much popularity. The smash hit 'Lita' was released in the year 1989. Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. The popularity of her was temporary, and she was gone for a couple of years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, as well as 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later she reemerged.
