Lita Rossana Ford, also called Lita Ford, is an American guitar player and singer born in Britain. She was the lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock band made up of all females in the late 1970s. Their punk rock music and raunchy lyrics made them noticed by the rock community. Though the group didn't have much success in the United States however they became extremely popular internationally. This was especially true in Japan. The band broke up in 1979 Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in heavy metal. Her first solo release was 'Dancin' On the Edge, followed by her Album Out for Blood. Both albums failed to get much attention and Ford was largely absent from the rock world for several years. The smash-hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her biggest songs. Unfortunately her success was short-lived and she vanished from the music industry for a few years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, as well as 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards it was back in the spotlight. The most recent album 'Time Capsule was released in 2016.
