Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford as she is most commonly referred to as was an American born British guitarist and singer who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention within their home country of the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. After the band split in 1979 Ford started a lucrative solo career with heavy metal. After taking voice classes, Ford launched her first solo album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin at the Edge". Ford went missing from the music scene for a few years following both albums failed to be a huge success. In 1988, Ford returned to the scene with a smashing album called "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her most popular hit songs. The success of her was not long-lasting and, for a few additional years she was absent. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' nearly 15 years after. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016.
