Lita Rossana Ford She was born in Britain and was an American musician, singer and writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she was the lead guitar for the hard-rocking All-girl group The Runaways. While the group did not achieve much success in America, they were hugely popular internationally. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a solo heavy metal artist after the group split up in 1979. Her debut solo album was called 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her album Out for Blood. In 1995, she dropped "Black" and fifteen years later , she released 'Wicked. The most recent album "Time Capsule," released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
